LOYOLA AUDITORIUM PLENARY SESSION: EVALUATION FROM THE ENERGY PROVIDERS PERSPECTIVE
ENEL and GDF Suez will discuss
Our two speakers from Enel will present Enel’s overall energy efficiency strategies: § Electricity supply and demand picture in Italy: historical, today, and future (near term, given economic outlook) § Role and value of energy efficiency to ENEL § Near-term and long-term drivers of energy efficiency: economic growth, carbon emissions reduction goals § Infrastructure and Network (Distribution System Operators), is the largest electricity distributor in Italy, and is pursuing more than half the national energy efficiency targets, measured in tones of oil equivalent saved within “white certificates” incentive mechanism using the smart grid.
Alexandre Jeandel from GDF SUEZ, Corporate Senior Advisor on Sustainable Development GDF SUEZ is a world leader in energy and environment, is present from the top to the bottom of the energy chain, in electricity, natural gas, in renewable energies, in energy, water and waste management services. Energy Efficiency is a successful business line of the GDF SUEZ Group and Energy Savings Obligations are mandatory in France and Italy. What questions are being raised out of these experiences from a business point of view?
